The APM
server physically connects with Turbine Scada server. From where it retrieves both
historical and real time operating parameters, events, status signals, warnings
and alarms.
These inputs
serve as building blocks for generating a real time picture of operational and
financial performance of the wind farm.
We use mast
inputs to independently verify OEMs nacelle transfer function (NTF). An
understated NTF, exaggerates the power curve performances – Giving false
comfort. The APM does not implicitly trust the OEM’s NTF. If needed, the APM
applies its own NTF corrections.
Met masts also
serve as a backup source of wind data. During a grid failure, turbines are
powered down and can’t measure wind speed. Met masts, with backup power supply,
can. The APM uses these records to calculate the potential energy, lost during
the shutdown.
Algorithm Consulting has partnered with leading Wind Forecast providers to ensure that O&M teams are able to utilize these forecasts to plan their turbine interventions and conduct Preventive Maintenances during low wind cycles.
Algorithm Consulting APM can also integrate with any Wind Forecast Provider as per client's discretion.
